James Carey lost the election.

Dear supporter,

It is with regret that I inform you that I lost the local elections to Meath County Council. I tried my mightiest with 5 canvassers and 2.5k budget and did remarkably well with 734 first preference votes, 864 by the 7th round which saw me being eliminated. Another 100 votes would have secured victory. My picture not being on the ballot paper detracted from voter recognition which, I am told could have secured the remaining necessary votes, however alas, it was clearly not meant to be. I wish to thank you sincerely for your support, it will always be remembered, appreciated and cherished. I wish to remain active in our community, if this is of assistance and I will always be available to you on 086 845 3044 should I be able to assist you with any political, community or personal matter.
My warmest, kindest, most genuine regards,
James.

In turn, I also want to thank all my supporters, family and friends for your support over the past few months leading up to the elections.
