Mosney Scheme

Urgent news.

A brand new Mosney & Asylum seeker based initiative is unveiled this week. After a lengthy department of Justice battle, local independent political East Meath election Candidate, James Carey won the right to put into action a scheme which links asylum seekers in Mosney with individuals or groups in our native community in need of labour based support. Residents Associations, the elderly and disabled comprised of 85% of all online applications already with mowing communal lawns, helping the elderly to bingo and general house maintenance ranking amongst the top 3 requests. Full details of this initiative are available, alongside an online application form at: www.jamescarey.ie/careycares

This story must reach the broader community as thousands of asylum seekers waste their days in our asylum centres. They want to work, but our Government will not allow them to, therefore the brilliant idea of simply connecting them to our communities on a voluntary basis makes total sense. Mosney will pilot this scheme, we will then roll it out nationwide. One local gentleman who suffers from brain damage, Mr. Brian Moran of Stamullen, Co. Meath said that without Editha, his helper, his life would be unbearable. "Before Editha began to help me, I was literally barely able to make a cup of tea. Now, she comes 4 days per week and I feel like a new man!"

This is positive news amidst the mountains of negative press of late. This creates a positive feeling out of a highly discussed, controversial and serious topic of the asylum process.

Call 086 845 3044 or fill out the online application form for further details.

Free Volunteers Initiative. All can apply!

Dear supporter,

I am delighted to launch my new Carey Cares scheme. You can apply for free voluntary labour from Mosney. All labour is available to anybody in the Slane electoral Area and applications are coming in thick and fast, so get to www.jamescarey.ie/careycares to order your very own helper, be you a residents committee, private individual, or group. Another good idea from Carey.

Jimmy.

New Bank in Stamullen

New Bank in Stamullen

Dear Resident,

Following on from last week’s letter, I write to touch base with you this week to provide a general update.

1. Election Fundraiser

The date of my election fundraiser has been amended. It was planned to take place this coming Friday 13th in Whytes Function Room at 8pm. Due to an unforeseen event, it is necessary to alter this date. A new date and associated details will be communicated to you soon. I trust that you will accept my apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused I and thank you warmly for your understanding.

2. Successful Sports Fundraiser!

Many thanks for your support in helping to make Alan Bonner’s Sports Fundraiser so successful! Record amounts of supporters attended generating an unstoppable wave of support for both Stamullen’s & Ireland’s next Motorcycling hero! If you choose to elect me with your vote in June’s local elections, I promise that all talented individuals or groups living locally will receive similar support and that equally successful events will be arranged to help facilitate their ascent.

3. New Bank in Stamullen

Further to listening carefully as to how you feel Stamullen should develop, I am delighted to announce that I will begin a process, if you elect me which will initiate the provision of a bank in our community. Most residents feel uncomfortable with our overdependence on key services located in Balbriggan and Drogheda and feel that a locally situated financial experience would represent an enormous convenience. We can achieve this challenge together!

4. Community Alert First Meeting

As the Chairperson of our newly released community alert programme, I wish to make you aware that the community alert committee & local area representatives advertised to the rear of my previous circular will conduct their very first meeting with Stamullen’s new Garda Sergeant; Trevor Dooley on Wednesday 25th of March at 8pm in Whytes Function Room. You are invited to attend to become actively involved in the policing of your community.
