2500 New Jobs for East Meath a REALITY.

Dear supporter,

2500 jobs will become a reality within the very near future, particularly if I am elected to our county council in June. Ballygarth Manor will be utterly transformed into an enchanting new development comprising of a retirement village, boutique hotel and state of the art golf course. I am aware that this is a recession and that golf courses and hotels are closing all around, but ours is special because we can build at 65% less than all existing competitors owing to the recessionary price falls, hence we can compete at a lower rate thus delivering a great service at a low price which, recession or not, will win. Get behind an ambitious young man and ask all of your friends and family to vote Carey No.1 for Local Government in Meath on June 5th. I thank you.

James Carey.

  1. Are you running as a representative of property developers? Can you clarify how you intend to deal with this conflict of interest.

Can you also put on your site details of where exactly the 2500 jobs are to come from.

Frankly, in my view, this claim is garbage. For example this level of employment is on the same scale as Intel and HP, yet these are multi billion euro enterprises. It is impossible to see how a golf course and retrement village can employ 2500 jobs.

Please post your business plan on the web or else desist from making false and exagerated claims.

Also can you explain how a village with a population of less than 600 is meant to accommodate a development that you say will employ 2500? Where will these supposed employees come from and how will they travel to Julianstown.

Secondly, Julianstown has a burnt out hotel in its centre, can you explain the benefit to Julianstown of building a brand new hotel away from the village when what is needed is the rebuilding of the existing hotel in the village.
