Carey’s Graffiti Removal Scheme

Carey’s Graffiti Removal Scheme

Dear reader,
I wish to make you aware of a new scheme that I have launched to formally tackle the graffiti problem rampaging throughout our community. The aptly named “Carey’s Graffiti Removal Scheme” harnasses the skills and willingness to help of local people including Paddy Dempsey of “Pure-Clean windows” of Stamullen who performs such works on a permanent basis.
We unite weekly to physically spray down walls which have been vandalised by graffiti. In the absence of Meath County Council support, we are sending out a clear message that we care about our community and will not accept this form of crime.
I suggest that in the new playground & parklands to be constructed on Cockhill road, a designated “Graffiti Wall” be constructed where youths can express their artistic creativity confined to an agreed space as oppose to damaging the property of residents. Nobody is still sure what ‘SFA’ stands for! This outlet will not curb their expression, but will help to prevent criminal damage.
Please view www.jamescarey.ie or call me on 0868453044 if you wish to become involved.
James Carey, Meath County Council Candidate, June.
