Playground relocation.
I wish to engage with you in relation the proposed new playground in Mountain View Estate. A decision to construct this was arrived upon without suitable public consultation or expression of opinions from residents. A consensus has been formed that whilst our whole community aches for a long overdue playground to be installed, it would be highly irresponsible to place it in a small, already highly utilised and cherished segment of Mountain View Estate.
Instead a perfect alternative, in the view of most people with whom I have liaised is the grounds of the new G.A.A. services on Cock Hill Road. A large, state-of-the-art, multi-functional parkland, playground and skating facility could be constructed here which meets the needs of all users. Please join in our public meeting on Wednesday 11th of February in Whites in Stamullen at 8 p.m. to further debate this topic. Together we can create a better solution.
